Philosophy
When an individual is struggling with an eating disorder, food often becomes a source of anxiety. Nutrition counseling is imperative in helping the individual challenge her/his eating disorder thoughts/ behaviors around food to promote normalized eating. Allison uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Nutrition Education/Therapy, and Experiential Techniques to aid her clients in challenging their eating disorder thoughts/behaviors to decrease their anxiety around food while attaining a healthy weight.
